Starting in early April 2011 and going through mid May the KBF® Bowling Bus toured the US visiting over 100 KBF® centers in 35 different states while covering in excess of 15,000 miles. Reception from local media as well as many municipal officials was extremely positive and live media coverage was strong.
The KBF® bus crew enjoyed 28 TV interviews, 31 radio broadcasts while at least 40 major newspapers ran feature articles on bowling. Nine mayors granted “Kids Bowl Free® Proclamations” while the bus was in their community. Thousands of bowling fans met the bus for photo opportunities along the way. Bowling’s Rolling billboard, the KBF® bus was a huge boost for bowling awareness nationwide.
